1. What should I use to clean my bath fittings & accessories?

All BIUT/Bharat faucets and accessories (chrome plated) should be ideally cleaned with Shyne (water scale cleaner) and a soft cloth. Read instructions given on the bottle before using shyne. It is available at all BIUT/Bharat authorized dealer counters at a reasonable price. Any type of abrasive cleaning products should be avoided. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in lapse of warranty.

4. Where are your products manufactured?

All BIUT products are either manufactured or assembled in India by BIUT. Some spare parts used are from high quality manufacturers from Germany, Italy & other parts of the world. BIUT employs a team of technical and quality control experts who work closely with all these facilities to ensure the highest standards are met during the product development and manufacturing process.

1. How can I remove mineral deposits from my aerator?

Remove the aerator. Soak it in vinegar overnight and flush it with water, rubbing it with a toothbrush if the deposits are stubborn.

2. What is a high flow diverter?

It is a diverter mixer used in bathing areas which delivers a high water flow even in low water pressure conditions.

3. Are BIUT faucets & showers ISI certified?

4. What is the difference b/w handshower & overhead shower?

Handshower is a detachable shower head that can be directed to the body by hand whereas, Overhead shower directs water onto the user from the top.

2. My toilet is running, how do I fix it?

To solve this problem, you'll want to ask the following questions:

1. Is water running into the overflow tube? If so, lower/adjust the float valve

2. Is the chain too slack or too tight? Make sure the chain has only 1-2 beads of slack.

3. What are anti-bac seats?

Antibac seats are toilet seats with an antimicrobial agent formed into the plastic to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew.

4. What is Siphonic flushing & Washdown flushing?

Siphonic : In a siphonic action toilet, the trapway fills with water during the flush which initiates a siphonic action which “pulls” material out of the bowl while the water entering the bowl from the tank through the jet and the rim “pushes” material out. This simultaneous pushing and pulling completely evacuates the bowl during every flush. Normally, the siphonic method employs a smaller outlet (usually 2” diameter).

Wash Down: In a wash down action toilet, the water from the tank pours into the bowl and washes the material down the outlet. It is a “pushing” action only, and does not evacuate the bowl. Waste is simply “pushed” by free flowing water out of the trapway (usually 4” in diameter). These toilets have small (4’’ x 5’’) water surface areas in the bowls that are deep down in the bowl.

1. Which is better for my sink, a single-handle or double-handle faucet?

This one’s up to you, and with a bit of research, you can decide what’s right for you. While a single-handle faucet offers convenient control of water volume and temperature, double-handle faucets offer additional styles and spout designs.

2. Are BIUT kitchen sinks designed with standard size drain holes?

Yes, all BIUT kitchen sinks have standard 3 1/2” diameter drain holes.

3. What is the thickness of BIUT Kitchen Sinks?

BIUT kitchen sinks have thickness of 1.2mm, with all sinks having type 304 nickel bearing stainless steel content. These stainless steel specifications for kitchen sinks provide exceptional resistance to stains and corrosion.
